OUR VISION

Rooted in equity, growing in impact, leading sustainable futures.

CEED (Circular Environmental Education and Design) Canada is a not-for-profit with charitable status. We are an environmental awareness organization that provide fun and immersive learning experiences to help various communities recognize and reduce the impact on their local-global environments.

ROOTS IN COMMUNITY

CEED Canada began with a simple yet powerful belief: meaningful climate action starts at the grassroots. Founded by individuals passionate about sustainability and social equity, the organization recognized early on that marginalized and social housing communities were essential partners in building a more just, resilient future. The initial efforts centered on listening to these communities, understanding their unique needs, and co-creating educational workshops rooted in local culture, joy, and trust.

EMPOWERMENT AND IMPACT

Today, CEED Canada is a hub for climate education, engagement, and empowerment. It collaborates closely with diverse neighborhoods, designing programs that demystify sustainability and turn eco-awareness into practical collective action. Each initiative is crafted with community voices at the center—focusing on equity, cultural relevance, and hands-on learning. CEED Canada now stands as a trusted catalyst, helping residents in social housing and other underrepresented groups to transform knowledge into lasting environmental change.

SCALING FOR SYSTEMIC CHANGE

Looking ahead, CEED Canada envisions a national movement where every community—regardless of background—has the tools, confidence, and agency to shape Canada’s sustainable future. The organization aims to expand its reach beyond urban centers into rural and remote communities. It plans to innovate new partnerships with local governments, schools, and climate tech enterprises, while also fostering youth leadership and intergenerational learning. As it grows, CEED Canada remains committed to ensuring that climate solutions are inclusive, joyful, and reflective of Canada’s cultural diversity. Through continued collaboration, adaptability, and a deep-rooted commitment to justice, CEED Canada aspires to be a beacon for transformative, community-driven climate action across the country.

OUR MISSION

On a mission...

We co-design climate action and environmental education workshops for highly diverse, low-income, multi-unit residential buildings and housing cooperative communities.
